TRIPOD with 3 linear axes:

  • Joint axes 1 to 3: In combination, they allow translational motion of the tool (XYZ). The motion of a drive cannot be clearly assigned to the motion of a Cartesian axis.
  • The joint axes are arranged at an offset of 120° about the Z-axis, counterclockwise in plan view, with joint axis 1 on the X-axis.

  • Joint axes 1 to 3: In combination, they allow translational motion of the tool (XYZ). The motion of a drive cannot be clearly assigned to the motion of a Cartesian axis.
  • The joint axes are arranged at an offset of 120° about the Z-axis, counterclockwise in plan view, with joint axis 1 on the X-axis.
  • Joint axis 4: Rotates the tool around the wrist axis (parallel to the Z axis).
