Notes

  • For process value calculation, the slip-affected encoder 1 must be set to "Comparison value" and the slip-free encoder 2 to "Process value".
  • Slip is only adjusted when the parameterized position is approached below the configured maximum speed. If the position is approached at a speed above the speed threshold, no slip adjustment takes place.
  • For each switch position to be adjusted, 2 positions (left and right position) must be parameterized. The values must be checked by an appropriate method in relation to the actual values of the real system.
  • At least one cam (e.g. switch lug) is necessary for active encoder adjustment. If the cam is passed over in one direction of movement, no direction of rotation reversal must take place on the cam. The slip is adjusted at the falling edge. The distance since the last slip adjustment must not be longer than the maximum distance after the last slip adjustment.
  • The distance between 2 cams must be ten times greater than the maximum encoder tolerance position.
  • The distance between 2 cams must be ten times greater than the cam length. The lower cam position must be smaller than the upper cam position.
  • To generate the "Cam slip adjustment" state of the safe process data bit in the safety controller, physically existing cams must be used. It is not permitted to calculate the status of the "Cam slip adjustment" process data bit from the process values of the CSA31A safety option alone, e.g. the safe position. If a F-DI is set to "Slip adjustment cam", the process data bit is not used.
  • The upper and lower cam positions that have been stored in the configuration must be checked to ensure they are at a proper position on the machine during the acceptance procedure.
