SCA safety sub-function with MOVISAFE® CSA31A

The SCA safety sub-function provides a safe output signal on the safe process data to indicate whether the position is within the specified position range.

To activate automatic SLS monitoring within the position range, one of the 4 SLS instances can be assigned to each instance of the SCA function. The SLS instance used must be parameterized for this purpose. The Position hysteresis parameter prevents unintentional switching of the SCA status bits should the drive stop at the start or end position of a positioning range. The MOVISAFE® CSA31A safety option does not change the SCA status bit until after the position hysteresis. The position hysteresis takes effect when entering the position range and the status of the SCA function is shifted by the position hysteresis. The position hysteresis takes effect when leaving the position range only after a direction reversal. The distance between the upper and lower cam positions must be greater than twice the value of the Position hysteresis (8707.20) parameter.

The threshold positions must be within the limits of the position mode.
