Important information for firmware version 01.00 for CBG22A local keypads:

WARNING

Internal tests have indicated that the CBG22A local keypad with firmware version 01.00 may show the following unexpected behavior:
  • If manual mode is terminated via the key switch while the enable is still active and the drive is rotating, the drive will stop as expected. If manual mode is then restarted, the drive is immediately enabled again and starts rotating immediately.
  • If the command to release the brake is issued for a rotating drive in "latching" manual mode, the drive is stopped immediately without warning, the brake is applied briefly and then released again. The drive is then torque-free and freely rotatable when the brake is released.
  • If the "RUN CCW" or "RUN CW" key is pressed in "latching" manual mode with released brake, nothing will happen at first as expected. But if a command to apply the brake is then issued, the brake is applied briefly, but immediately afterwards the drive starts up according to the previously pressed "RUN CCW" or "RUN CW" button.
  • As of firmware version 01.11, this behavior no longer occurs. SEW-EURODRIVE recommends updating all CBG22A local keypads with firmware version 01.00 to the current firmware version.
