CBG22A as MOVISUITE® interface

You can use the local keypad to establish a connection between an inverter and MOVISUITE®. The local keypad serves as a gateway for this purpose.

INFORMATION

If gateway mode is active, you cannot perform any other actions on the local keypad.

Proceed as follows:

  • The CBG22A local keypad is connected to the inverter.
  • The Communication window opens in MOVISUITE® on the engineering PC.
  1. Connect the local keypad to the engineering PC using a Mini USB cable. A suitable cable is available from SEW‑EURODRIVE under part number 25643517.
    • The "Gateway" menu is displayed on the CBG22A.
  2. As soon as the local keypad is connected to the computer, it is displayed in MOVISUITE®.
  3. To establish an active connection between MOVISUITE® and the inverter, press the <OK> key on the local keypad.
    • You can now make settings in MOVISUITE®. For more information, refer to MOVISUITE® under More > Documents.
  4. Check the following settings in MOVISUITE®:

    Displays the device name

    Update adapters

    Apply and scan

  5. If a local keypad is already connected, it is displayed in the Connected USB adapters display field [4]. If no local keypad is displayed, check the connection and then click the Update adapters button [5].
  6. Click the Apply button [6] to scan the connected device and transfer it to the project. This displays the lower-level inverter in MOVISUITE® and not the local keypad.
  7. To disconnect the connection, click Cancel on the local keypad.
  8. Then disconnect the USB cable.
