Step 4: Selection of the fan
Select whether you need a fan. A fan improves heat dissipation from the energy storage system, thereby extending its service life.
Note: A fan can only be selected for:
- The 350 F cell type of the EKM energy storage modules
- A number of EKM energy storage modules per EKS energy storage stack that is divisible by 3
- An arrangement of EKM energy storage modules in an energy storage stack in a 3×1, 3×2, or 3×3 configuration (for possible arrangements, see chapter 5.5 Step 5: Selection of the configuration of the EKS energy storage stacks below).
The following table shows an example of some configurations of EKV energy storage bundles for which a fan is permitted.
