Step 5: Selection of the configuration of the EKS energy storage stacks

Select the configuration of the individual EKS energy storage stacks. Based on the selected number of EKM energy storage modules, you can configure at least one to a maximum of six EKS energy storage stacks. Together, the individual EKS energy storage stacks form an EKV energy storage bundle.

The following figure shows the schematic configuration of an EKS energy storage stack. The minimum number of EKM energy storage modules per EKS energy storage stack is 2, the maximum number is 12. Only combinations of EKM energy storage modules that are divisible by two or three are permitted for forming an EKS energy storage stack. The figure shows an EKS energy storage stack in a 3×2 configuration. The minimum size of an EKS energy storage stack is 2×1 or 1×2, and the maximum size is 4×3. When specifying the arrangement of the EKM energy storage modules, the modules in the x‑direction are listed first (three in the example), followed by the modules in the y‑direction (two in the example).
