Selecting the adapter busbars
To be able to set up an axis system in which modules with DC link busbars of different widths are used, appropriate adapter busbars must be used at the transition from wide to narrow or from narrow to wide. In addition, closing covers may need to be used in the modules to achieve the IP20 degree of protection in accordance with EN 60529. The adapter busbars and closing covers are not included in the scope of delivery of the modules.
The adapter busbars and closing covers are available as a DC link connection set and must be ordered to fit depending on the module arrangement. The DC link connection set includes the required busbars and the closing covers.
For MDR9.B.., DC link busbars in a wide design are included, as well as adapter busbars from wide to narrow for connecting the DC link circuit to devices with a narrow DC link busbar.
If axis modules of size ≤5 are used in addition to MDR9.B.., the adapter pieces wide to narrow that are provided with the MDR9.B.. can be used to connect axis modules size 6 to the other modules with narrow DC link busbars. In this case, the wide-to-narrow adapter connectors do not need to be ordered separately.

For the remaining modules, the adapter busbars are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered.
