Starting the brake test

• Start the brake test via safe signal "SBT clearance". In accordance with the parameterization, the brake test starts immediately or must be additionally started using the "SBT enable" signal.
• Drive function FCB 23 is active in the inverter while the safe brake test is being carried out. FCB 23 is exclusively used in combination with the safe brake test. Bit "SBT active" is set to a logical status of "1" in the process data (PI and F-PI).
• If a safe digital output F-DO is parameterized to the SBC safe brake control function, the brake that is controlled by this F-DO is tested. If both F-DOs of the safety option are parameterized to SBC, the brake test is performed twice. The brake at F-DO 00 is tested first. If this test is error-free, the test of the second brake is automatically tested at F-DO 01. Steps 3 – 5 are repeated to test the second brake.
