General information about startup
- If a brake is connected to the device, the FCB 01 Output stage inhibit function block must be selected in the MOVISUITE® parameter tree under [Functions] > [Drive functions]. In FCB 01 Output stage inhibit, the Apply brake in event of STO parameter must be set to "On".
- The following chapters describe the additional startup procedure for the MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option and the safety sub-functions.
- Note the prerequisites for installation and operation of MOVISUITE®.
- The safety encoders with MOVILINK® DDI are supported by the safety option as of firmware version 5.0x, by the basic unit firmware as of version 11.0, and by MOVISUITE® as of version 2.50.
- Make sure that the PROFIsafe Slave Editor and the Assist CS.. parameterization tool are not used simultaneously in the system. The parameterization tool used must be open only once.
- A safe encoder or a safe encoder system is required for the SS1-r, SS2-r, SS2-t, SOS, SDI, SLI, SLS, SSM, SSR, SLA, SCA, SLP safety sub-functions and the SBT diagnostics function.
- When starting up several similar devices with identical parameterization, the devices can be parameterized using the "Import/Export" function. Note that you must accept every single device to accomplish this.
- If the SBC safety sub-function is active, the brake is controlled safely only via the selected F-DO. The safe digital output F-DO.. additionally performs the function of the brake control DB00. The DB00 connection on the basic device does not have to be used additionally. A SBM safe brake module from SEW-EURODRIVE can be used as a safe actuator for controlling the brake. If both F-DOs are parameterized on the SBC safety sub-function, the user is only allowed to use them for brakes on the same drive train because the safe brake test (SBT) does not work on the 2nd brake.
- All adjustable parameter values are limited to their minimum and maximum values. Hover the mouse over the respective parameter to view the limit values in MOVISUITE®.
