Installing the discharge unit connection
MOVI-DPS® storage units must be discharged and short-circuited for service work or during shutdown.
For this purpose, you must provide a discharge connection socket and a matching short-circuit connector. MOVI-DPS® storage units can be discharged later using a discharge unit available as accessory via a discharge connection socket, and then be short-circuited using the short-circuit connector.
You require the components listed in the table.
Required accessories | Part number |
|---|---|
Short-circuit and ground-fault proof cable (NSGAFÖU) from storage unit to fuse protection necessary |
|
Housing including cap with gasket | 09200030306 (Harting) |
Socket insert | 09120023152 (Harting) |
3 crimp contacts | 09320006205 ROHS (Harting) |
3 conductors with a cross section of 2.5 mm2 in customer-specific length for positive wire, negative wire, and PE from the fuse to the discharge socket |
|
Short circuit connector | 28149874 |
You should always protect the connecting facility for the discharge unit with a DC voltage fuse. You can use a miniature circuit breaker with characteristic C or a full range fuse in utilization category gR for this purpose.
In both cases, the following specification must be adhered to:
- Minimum nominal voltage: DC 880 V
- Maximum rated current: 16 A
- Minimum breaking capacity 10 kA
Provide a facility for mechanical attachment of the discharge connection socket in the control cabinet.
The following figure shows an example of how to mount the discharge connection socket.
