- Before every discharge process, measure the applied voltage in accordance with the specifications of the operating instructions of the discharge unit from SEW-EURODRIVE.
- Manual discharging of DC voltages of > 120 V may be performed only by persons who have received the special training "Working with live electrical equipment". In addition, special safety precautions must be taken for working with live electrical equipment in such a case. If in doubt, contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.
The energy storage units must be discharged and short-circuited before you perform any service work. In the event of a defect at the discharge connection, perform the short circuit directly at the energy storage unit. In doing so, observe the specifications in the operating instructions of the discharge unit from SEW-EURODRIVE.
