Replacing a DSK module

WARNING

Electric shock due to improper use.
Severe or fatal injuries.
- For safety reasons, DSK modules may be replaced only by trained personnel. Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.
- During, the warranty period, the replacement of DSK modules may be performed only by SEW-EURODRIVE Service.
If one of the errors shown in the flow diagram above is present, you must replace a DSK module. First, determine whether a DSK module needs to be replaced. The procedure you have to follow depends on the present error. Several errors can also be present at the same time.
If an overvoltage fault or a temperature fault is present, the error message of the MOVIKIT® module indicates which module needs to be replaced. If external influences, such as an excessive ambient temperature, can be excluded as the cause of the fault, replace at least the affected module.
If an insulation fault is present, the error message does not indicate which module triggered the fault. For this reason, you must perform a manual insulation test on site to determine which module triggered the fault, see chapter Insulation test.
At the end of its useful life, the energy storage unit can no longer provide sufficient power for the application. As a result, a voltage dip occurs at the DC link. This is indicated by the display of error 1799 "Undervoltage at the A-side or B-side". In this case, replace the entire storage bundle.
Set the energy storage system to safe state before replacing modules or performing an insulation test, see chapter Discharging energy storage units before service work.
