Contact-equipped sensors (two-channel)
A two-channel sensor with contacts is connected via the F-SS0 sensor supply.
Settings in the "Assist CS.." parameterization tool:
- Depending on safety requirements, activate or deactivate line diagnostics.
The following figures show the MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option with two-channel sensors with contacts in the connection variants "non-equivalent" and "equivalent".
- Connection variant "non-equivalent"

- Connection variant "equivalent"

Operation with activated line diagnostics
The following faults are detected:
- Crossfault between every digital input line F-DI00 and a 24‑V supply voltage
- Crossfault between an F-SS0 sensor supply line and a 24‑V supply voltage if the digital input F-DI00 is assigned to the sensor supply and the switch contact belonging to F-DI00 is closed
When using a 2-channel, non-equivalent-switching sensor, the MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option can detect a crossfault between the two digital inputs of an input pair.

WARNING

In the equivalent connection type, the MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option cannot detect a crossfault between the input terminals F-DI00_A and F-DI00_B (sensor jumpered).
Death or severe injuries
- Make sure that in the equivalent connection type, a crossfault between the input terminals F-DI00_A and F-DI00_B is not possible.

WARNING

The MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option cannot detect a short circuit between the F-SS0 sensor supply and safe digital input F-DI00 (sensor jumpered).
Death or severe injuries
- Make sure that a short circuit between the F-SS0 sensor supply and the safe digital input F-DI00 is not possible.
