Replacing the memory module
Replace the memory module as follows:
- Observe the safety notes in chapter Creating a safe working environment.
- Make sure the device is de-energized. The 400 V line voltage and the 24 V backup voltage must be disconnected.
- Loosen the screws and remove the inverter from the connection box.
- Remove the memory module from the inverter.
- Compare the part number and the status of the memory module.
INFORMATION

The new memory module must have the same part number and the same status as the old memory module (or higher).
- Insert the new memory module into the inverter.
- Place the inverter onto the connection box and screw it in place.
- Supply the device with voltage (AC 400 V and DC 24 V).
- Check the startup of the device.
- If required, perform startup again or load a saved startup into the device.
- For devices with activated safety functions (e.g. PROFIsafe, STO), check the startup of the safety option. For more information, refer to the product manual > chapter "Service" > "Service - Functional Safety" > "Device replacement" > "Replacing the memory module".
- Check the function of the new inverter.
If the device was ordered with the option /P "Parameters ex works", the customer-specific parameter set is already saved on the supplied memory module upon delivery.
When ordering a new memory module using the part number, no data set is stored on the memory module.
- Start up the device manually.
- As an alternative, start up the device with a previously saved data set.
