Replacing the inverter

Replace the inverter as follows:

  1. Observe the safety notes in chapter Creating a safe working environment.
    • Make sure the device is de-energized. The 400 V line voltage and the 24 V backup voltage must be disconnected.
  2. Loosen the screws and remove the inverter from the connection box.
  1. Compare the data on the nameplate of the previous inverter with the data on the nameplate of the new inverter.
  2. INFORMATION

Only replace the inverter with an inverter with the same type designation.
In safety-related applications, replace an inverter only with an inverter with the same FS logo.

  1. Remove the replaceable memory module from the old inverter. Install this replaceable memory module in the new inverter.
  1. Place the new inverter onto the connection box and screw it in place.
  1. Supply the device with voltage (AC 400 V and DC 24 V).
  2. Check the function of the new inverter.
  1. If the safety option is in "With safety functions" operating mode, acknowledgment via a safe digital input or via safe communication may be required. This acknowledgment cancels the start inhibit on the safety option. Refer to chapter Device replacement.
