EDRS.., EDRE.., EDRN..
The 4-pole EDR.., EDRN.. motor series are designed for duty type S1 (continuous duty). They are suitable for line operation as well as for frequency inverter operation and are available in the 50 Hz or 60 Hz variant.

An explosion-protected gearmotor has 2 nameplates: a nameplate on the gear unit and a nameplate on the motor. When operating on a frequency inverter, an additional adhesive label is attached to the terminal box on which the permitted motor data is shown in a table form.
For brakemotors, the specification of the cyclic duration factor of the brake is specified on the additional adhesive label. The linear course of the permitted cyclic duration factor of the brake cannot be shown on the nameplate for space reasons. For this reason, the permitted cyclic duration factor of the brake is specified as a 2-stage model. Below the thermal breakpoint frequency, the cyclic duration factor of the brake is reduced. The cyclic duration factor above the thermal breakpoint frequency is 100%. For the permitted values and the linear course, refer to the limit characteristic curves in Permitted cyclic duration factor and thermal breakpoint speed.

An explosion-protected gearmotor has 2 nameplates: a nameplate on the gear unit and a nameplate on the motor. When operating on a frequency inverter, the setting range is also shown on the motor nameplate. In contrast, for brakemotors, no additional specification of the cyclic duration factor of the brake is provided for outside the motor setting range.
