DRL.., DR2L..
The DRL.. and DR2L.. series are so-called asynchronous servomotors based on the DRS.. and DRN.. asynchronous motors series with squirrel-cage rotor and 4-pole winding.
In combination with an encoder, a thermal protection, and in "thermal class F" design, they are operated exclusively on the SEW-EURODRIVE frequency inverter in CFC control mode and are available in 4 speed classes (1200/1700/2100/3000 min-1). The 4 speed classes are implemented via 2 winding calculations each in star and delta connection. In frequency inverter operation, the rated speed indicates the beginning of field weakening. Below the rated speed, the DRL.., DR2L.. motors can be operated permanently with the limit torques defined in the S1 thermal characteristic curve.
The nameplate of the DRL.., DR2L.. motors does not indicate power, but only the nominal torque and the maximum possible motor torque.
However, the actual maximum torque depends on the inverter power used. At high inverter power ratings, the maximum motor torque exceeds the torque that can be transmitted via the standard pinion shaft end (dynamics package 1). For these applications with servo-like dynamics, the DRL.., DR2L.. motors offer a reinforced pinion shaft end (dynamics package 2).
