Setting scaling
The scaling of the axis is set in the configuration of the hardware and in the configuration of the axis.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the configuration of the inverter ("Decentralized-Electronics").
- Specify the following settings:
Parameter group | Parameter | Setting |
|---|---|---|
[Use of the DS402 Axis Driver Library] > [Mechanical Elements] | Gearbox Input | Input speed of the gear unitThe value of the parameter must not be 0. |
Gearbox Output | Output speed of the gear unit1) | |
Rotary to linear transformation | Conversion factor from a rotary to a linear system | |
Reference distance | Linear distance covered by the system in one revolution of the gear unit output side.1) | |
[Use of the DS402 Axis Driver Library] > [Encoder Settings] | Increments per revolution | Number of increments of one motor revolution1) |
- Open the configuration for the axis.
- Specify the settings of the Base type and Measurement unit parameters. The scaling factors differ depending on the settings of the parameters:
Setting | Scaling factor |
|---|---|
Rotary – Global settings |
|
Rotary – Degrees |
|
Rotary – Gradians |
|
Rotary – Revolution |
|
Rotary – Generic |
|
Linear – all units |
|
- In the Measurement resolution parameter, specify to which decimal place the position is to be rounded. Observe: If the parameter is set too high and the total scaling is large, the required decimal places are lost before scaling.
