WARNING

Risk of injury from electric shock and damage to the device.
Severe or fatal injuries or damage to the device.
- Bring the system into a safe, de-energized state before you start assembling, disassembling or wiring the modules.
INFORMATION

Please note the following when connecting the motor winding:
- If you connect a motor branch to different output drivers, such as PA1 and PB1, this can destroy the output drivers of the stepper motor module.
- Overtemperature of the output stage will cause the device to shut down.
- Only connect the windings of a motor branch to the terminals of the same output driver of the stepper motor module, e.g. one motor branch to PA1 and PA2, the other motor branch to PB1 and PB2.
The stepper motor module has bipolar output stages and can therefore control both bipolar and unipolar stepper motors. You can connect wires with a cross-section of 0.08 mm2 to 1.5 mm2. Ensure that the cables have sufficient current carrying capacity, and note the voltage drop over long distances.
Fusing
The DC 20.4 V – DC 57.6 V voltage supply for the stepper motor must be protected with an external fuse appropriate to the maximum current, i.e. maximum 8 A with an 8 A fuse (fast-acting) and/or an 8 A miniature circuit breaker with "Z" characteristics.
