Data exchange

  • For data exchange via Safety over EtherCAT® between the CS..A safety option and a higher-level controller, the safety option in the "Technology" profile variant has the following process data assignment:
    • 6 bytes of input data
    • 1 byte of header data
    • 3 × 2 bytes of user data and 2 bytes of CRC, each in pairs
    • 2 bytes of connection ID
    • 6 bytes of output data
    • 1 byte of header data
    • 3 × 2 bytes of user data and 2 bytes of CRC, each in pairs
    • 2 bytes of connection ID
  • For data exchange via Safety over EtherCAT® between the CSS21A, CSS31A, CSA31A safety option and a higher-level controller, the safety option has the following process data assignment in the "System" profile variant:
    • 12 bytes of input data
    • 1 byte of header data
    • 6 × 2 bytes of user data and 2 bytes of CRC, each in pairs
    • 2 bytes of connection ID
    • 12 bytes of output data
    • 1 byte of header data
    • 6 × 2 bytes of user data and 2 bytes of CRC, each in pairs
    • 2 bytes of connection ID

Profile data must be evaluated and made available in "Little Endian" representation in Safety over EtherCAT®.
