Brake controls with MOVILINK® DDI
At the same time, the BG.Z, BS.Z brake controls and option B are assistance systems which are intended to simplify maintenance and fault diagnostics. This does not replace or override standard prescribed maintenance intervals.
The BS..Z brake controls make it possible to operate spring-loaded brakes from the BZ..Z series and permanent magnet brakes from the BK.. and BP.. series with a DC 24 V protective extra-low voltage, and supplement the MOVILINK® DDI portfolio in the area of synchronous servo motors.
Brake control | Function |
|---|---|
BG1Z | Brake control for AC 230 V brakes, controlled via MOVILINK® DDI and MOVI-C® control cabinet inverters MOVIDRIVE® as well as MOVITRAC® advanced. External wide‑range power supply from AC 200–500 V is possible. Integrated condition monitoring with brake wear diagnostics, thermal capacity utilization monitoring, and self-monitoring. |
BS1Z | Brake control for DC 24 V brakes, controlled via MOVILINK® DDI and MOVI-C® MOVIDRIVE® as well as MOVITRAC® advanced control cabinet inverters. External power supply from DC 24 V is possible. Integrated condition monitoring with brake wear diagnostics, thermal capacity utilization monitoring, and self-monitoring. |
B | HV brake control of AC brakes 380 – 500 V for MOVIMOT® performance and MOVIMOT® flexible decentralized inverters. Integrated condition monitoring with brake wear diagnostics, thermal capacity utilization monitoring, and self-monitoring. |
You can operate the BS1Z brake control with MOVILINK® DDI in the following 2 operating modes:
- Standard
- The release of the brake is voltage-controlled. After the release, the brake is held with the aid of the special energy-saving current control.
- The current control also offers further diagnostics functions for the brake, e.g. evaluation of the brake coil temperature or the thermal capacity utilization of the brake coil.
- Voltage-controlled
- The release and holding of the brake are voltage-controlled. The further diagnostics functions are not available in this operating mode.
The operating mode is selected in the MOVISUITE® engineering software. The "Standard" operating mode is selected in the delivery state.
