BR.., BY.., BZ..

For motors from the CM.., CMPZ.., CM3C.., ECM3C.., CM3P.., and DRC.. product lines, the robust BR.., BY.., or BZ.. series brakes are available.

Thanks to their proven functional principle, these spring-loaded brakes are the first choice for lifting and travel applications that call for a high degree of durability combined with excellent emergency-stop load capacity.

The brakes open electrically and are applied by spring force. If the power supply is interrupted, the brake is applied and slows the movement to the idle state. It is therefore suited for basic safety requirements in travel and hoist applications (e.g. according to EN 115).

The brakes of the BY.. and BZ.. series are optionally available as safety brakes. These are developed by SEW-EURODRIVE for use in functional safety and are certified by TÜV Nord as a safety-related component of category 1 according to EN ISO 13849-1. You can realize a variety of safety concepts up to PL e using the safety brakes.

Thanks to a diverse control portfolio, the spring-loaded brakes from SEW‑EURODRIVE can be integrated into a variety of electrical connection environments. Solutions for AC supplies, DC supplies, and supply through frequency inverters are available.

BZ.. series brakes are also optionally combinable with the MOVILINK^® DDI interface and offer special added value in combination with the integrated BG1Z and BS1Z brake controls, e.g. increased cable lengths for the DC 24 V supply voltage.
