Design-dependent output factor fbrake,output
To determine the output load during an emergency-stop braking operation, the characteristic value M1 is used in the course of the calculations. However, due to its definition as the statistically lowest occurring mean value of the dynamic braking torque, it does not represent the relevant load on the output.
When determining the output load, an additional factor is therefore applied. This factor takes into account:
- Differences between characteristic value M1 and the actual dynamic braking torque that occurs
- Differing characteristics of the friction systems of spring‑loaded brakes and permanent‑magnet brakes
- Differing definitions of the load limit values for emergency‑stop braking operations
A differentiation must be made as to whether a gear unit is used and, if so, which design.
