Short-circuiting modules

Short-circuit all modules in the storage bundle, even if you are not replacing all the modules. The short-circuited poles ensure that the voltage positions are the same and no asymmetries are formed when installing a new energy module.

Proceed as follows:

  • You have set the system to a safe state in accordance with the specifications in chapter Discharging energy storage units before service work.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connections at module 1.
  2. Short circuit module 1 using the insulated conductor mentioned above.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connection at the negative pole of module 2.
  4. Short circuit module 2 using the original connection lead between modules 1 and 2.
  5. Perform steps 3 and 4 for all remaining modules of the storage bundle.
