The supply and regenerative module rectifies the line voltage and supplies the connected modules with DC link voltage. Regenerative energy is fed back into the supply system. Optionally, a braking resistor can be used to dissipate energy if the supply system cannot absorb energy, e.g. for temporary operation on an emergency power supply. Due to the convenient choice of DC link capacity and inductance of the line choke, the module is very tolerant with regard to long supply system cables.

The supply and regenerative module is available in a sinusoidal design with controlled increased DC link voltage and maximum grid compatibility or in a block-shaped design with low space requirements and high cost-effectiveness.
