DRE...J, DRP...J, DRU...J
DR...J with LSPM technology (line start permanent magnet) are AC motors with squirrel-cage rotor that contain permanent magnets in the rotor.
The LSPM motors are only available in a 4-pole variant and can be operated both on the supply system and on the frequency inverter.
In line operation, the 4-pole motors start up asynchronously, synchronize to the operating frequency after startup, and finally run in synchronous operation at 1500 1/min.
In frequency inverter operation, the motors that are designed for the V/f operating mode synchronize with the operating frequency of the frequency inverter.
Depending on the "star" or "delta" operating mode, LSPM motors are available for frequency inverter operation in speed classes 1500 min-1 or 50 Hz, and 2610 min-1 or 87 Hz.
In frequency inverter operation, also note that the LSPM motors specify a minimum speed for continuous operation. This is 300 min-1 for MOVITRAC® B, MOVIMOT® and MOVIFIT® inverters, and 150 min-1 for MOVITRAC LTE-B and LTP-B.
The LSPM motors do not exhibit any rotor losses due to their operating principle. The result is a very high efficiency in a very compact design.
The DR...J motors are only available in duty type S1.
The nameplate is based on the standard asynchronous motor, but shows additional LSPM-specific elements. In addition, the LSPM motors are equipped with an additional adhesive label on which various operating points are shown.
DRP...J motors are no longer actively marketed. The DRE...J and DRU...J motors are available as an alternative. The DR2...J motors are planned to replace the DR...J motors.
