EDM muting

The "EDM muting" function is activated by starting the emergency mode with the keypad. The activated "EDM muting" function is signaled on the LED F-ERR by rapid yellow flashing. The "EDM muting" function has the following effects:

• The activation of the EDM fault response is suppressed. This means that opening the internal safe digital output F‑DO_STO is suppressed.
• The fault responses of all safety sub-functions are suppressed.

The "EDM muting" function is automatically terminated in the following cases:

• Another fault is present or has been detected.
• A fault is acknowledged.
• 1 to 60 minutes after activation via the keypad. This time period is adjusted via the Maximum muting time parameter.
• 5 minutes after activation via emergency mode.
• Connection to the keypad is interrupted if the "EDM muting" function was activated using the keypad.

After automatic deactivation of the "EDM muting" function, all sources must revoke their activation prior to a new activation of the function.

Every time the "EDM muting" function finishes, the start inhibit is activated.
