Stepper motor module

The function module integrates an ultra-compact motion control solution for stepper motors up to approx. 200 W. During operation, the module outputs 2 controlled currents with a sine/cosine curve. The current is controlled in the form of microsteps with a cycle rate of 32 kHz. The resolution of the current is 64 steps per full step. This enables a smooth and resonance-free current curve. The module can be used to control stepper motors with a small rotational mass as well as low-induction, highly dynamic stepper motors. Due to the microstepping and corresponding setpoint changes, the stepper motor is always guided smoothly and there is no oscillation around each position. This eliminates the need for further mechanical measures for vibration damping.
