Basic function

The format-changing drive system is a cost-efficient and resource-efficient solution for simple point-to-point positioning, for example for use in changing formats. The format-changing drive system also offers more complex travel profiles.

The format-changing drive system comprises the following components: function module, cabling with M12 connector, stepper motor and the MOVIKIT^® custom stepper software module.

The system – and therefore the stepper motors – can be operated with DC 24 V or DC 48 V. Both 24 V and 48 V are fed into the function module. The function module is located in the control cabinet and is integrated into the existing MOVI-C^® PLC IO system.

The signals and power are fed from the function module to the stepper motors via two cables. There are two M12 connectors on the stepper motor for connecting the power and encoder/signal cables.
