0x8600-03 – Current – Setpoint

Please note that the current setpoint is set by a cyclical input and is 0 mA when delivered. In order for the drive to execute travel commands, you should set a setpoint current that suits the application and matches the maximum nominal current of the motor.

This object specifies the value of the current setpoint in mA. Depending on the microstep number 0 – 63, the instantaneous value of the winding current can therefore be higher by a factor of √2 (peak value). If, for example, a "0x8600-03 – Current setpoint" of 2000 mA is specified and the motor is at the peak value, the measured current is 2828 mA. During movement, the specified current setpoint will be equal to the measured RMS current if the current controller is functioning and properly adjusted.
