0x8C00-04 – Motor parameters – Maximum current
INFORMATION

The nominal current of a motor is specified for full-step operation by the motor manufacturer. Observe the specifications from the manufacturer. In this operating mode, both windings are always fully energized. In microstep mode, the two windings are energized in a sine-cosine pattern. This means that the two windings never have full current at the same time. To achieve full load, the winding current can be increased by a factor of √2 = 1.44.
Index-Sub | Type | RW | Default | Range of values | Unit | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
0x8C00-04 | U16 | R/W | 5000 | 0 – 15000 | (mA) | Motor – Maximum current |
This object specifies the maximum RMS value of the motor current and must be configured. If the actual current value exceeds this limit during operation, the function module responds with an error, which is displayed in "0x8100-02 – Status word" or via "0x8100-06 – Bit bar errors", bit 0.
