0x8300-02 – Reference travel method

Please note that neither the reference travel mode nor other operating modes of the function module are monitored by limit switches along the path of travel; the system will therefore not stop or shut down when these limits are reached. If you want the system to monitor these limits and respond accordingly, you must take special measures to ensure this!

| Reference travel method |
This object is used to select the reference travel method. Reference travel refers to an initial run of an axis in which the correct actual position is determined using a reference signal. All objects associated with index 0x8300 are required to fully configure reference travel.
Supported reference travel method
Mode | Description |

17 | A switch at the end of the positioning range (= reference switch) is used as the reference. A digital input of the function module is used to evaluate the reference switch. A signal edge is expected. For this method, ensure correct electrical wiring! |
37 | The current position is used as the reference position and the position value is set to zero. |
