Addressing CIP Safety™

CIP Safety™ requires that an EtherNet/IP™ device must possess a unique network node number (TUNID, Target Unique Network Identifier). The TUNID is composed of the inverter's IP address and the safety network number (SNN) and is created in the engineering tool of the fail-safe controller. The safety option retains its TUNID after the assignment. The TUNID is written to the safety key in non-volatile memory.
