Electric shock when disconnecting or connecting live connectors.
Severe or fatal injuries.
  • Switch off all supply voltages.
  • Make sure that the devices of the system are de-energized.
  • Never connect or disconnect connectors while they are energized.
  • Never disconnect the connectors ES+ and ES– if you do not know the actual state of charge of the MOVI‑DPS® storage bundle.
  • Discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle to less than 2 V before disconnecting it from the device. Use one of the designated discharge units from SEW-EURODRIVE to discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle.

Proceed as follows to shutdown the MOVI-DPS® storage bundles:

  1. Discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle. Then briefly short-circuit the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle. Observe the information in chapter Disconnecting the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle.
  2. Disconnect the short-circuit MOVI-DPS® storage bundle. To do so, disconnect the connectors at the connection cables of the individual MOVI-DPS® storage units.
  3. Measure the voltage of each individual MOVI-DPS® storage unit at the two connectors ES+ and ES-. The voltage must be < 2 V at all MOVI-DPS® storage units. Otherwise contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.
  4. Briefly short-circuit each MOVI-DPS® storage unit for itself. To do so, connect the ES+ and ES- connectors.
