Fuse concept and storage separation

The fuse concept is defined by SEW-EURODRIVE as part of the project planning. Only use the fuses configured by SEW-EURODRIVE.

If you connect MOVI-DPS^® storage units to a system connected to an AC supply system, simply disconnecting the system from the supply system does not result in the DC link being de-energized. A charged MOVI-DPS^® storage bundle can cause dangerous voltages to be present at the DC link even after disconnection from the AC supply system.

A suitable DC circuit breaker must be installed to separate the MOVI-DPS^® storage units from the system.

As part of the project planning, SEW-EURODRIVE provides a list of components for the fuse concept that is required for your application. If components are used – even if these are technically adequate – SEW-EURODRIVE does not accept any liability and cannot guarantee for correct device properties or functions.
