Notes on PE connection

WARNING

Electric shock due to high leakage current. A leakage current of > 3.5 mA may be generated in the energy storage system during operation.
Severe or fatal injuries.
  • To avoid dangerous currents, observe the following information pursuant to standard EN 61800-5-1:
  • Supply system cable < 10 mm2:
    • Route a second PE conductor with the cable cross section of the supply system cable in parallel to the protective earth via separate terminals or use a copper PE conductor with a cable cross section of 10 mm2.
  • Supply system cable 10 mm2 to 16 mm2:
    • Route a copper PE conductor with the cable cross section of the supply system cable.
  • Supply system cable 16 mm2 to 35 mm2:
    • Route a copper PE conductor with a cable cross section of 16 mm2.
  • Supply system cable > 35 mm2:
    • Route a copper PE conductor with half the cross section of the supply system cable.

INFORMATION

The energy storage system is equipped with a short circuit connector in its delivery state. This prevents the charging of energy modules. Maintain this short circuit during the electrical installation in order to ensure safe working conditions. With the double cabinet variant, the expansion cabinet is also short-circuited via the short circuit connector contained in the basic cabinet. After completing the installation, the short circuit connector must be removed before startup.

The installation location must be selected in such a way that the shortest possible electrical connection between the MDP92A or MDE90A devices and the energy storage unit can be realized.
