Discharge process for the double cabinet variant
The double cabinet consists of a basic cabinet and an expansion cabinet, each with 6 to 8 DSK modules that are internally connected to each other. There is a connection for a discharge unit in each of the two cabinets. It does not matter which of the two cabinets is connected to a discharge unit. All DSK modules are always discharged at the same time through the existing connection. It is not possible to only discharge the energy storage unit in one cabinet. The discharge process can be accelerated greatly by connecting one discharge unit each to both of the existing connections. For correct discharging, observe the regulations in the documentation of the discharge units of SEW-EURODRIVE. Despite the interconnection, for safety reasons you must check that both cabinets are de-energized after the discharge process. After the discharge, connect the short circuit connector to the X2 socket in the basic cabinet.
