MOVILINK® DDI
The MOVILINK® DDI digital data interface connects the motor to the inverter. It transfers data for identifying and operating the motor.
Identification:
- Type and serial number of the gearmotor
- Order data
- Data for automatic startup of the inverter
Operation:
- Encoder data
- Motor temperature and brake temperature
- Brake wear
- Data from additional sensors (vibration, mounting position, humidity, magnetic field, etc.)
This allows for the simple, time-saving and error-free automation of processes:
- Startup
- Inventory
- Restart after motor replacement
- Centralized detection of motor replacement
- Monitoring of brake wear and maintenance planning
- Transfer of sensor data to higher-level condition monitoring systems
The coaxial cable for MOVILINK® DDI is particularly resistant to EMC interference and thus the basis for reliable single-cable technology. Depending on the inverter type, hybrid cables of up to 200 m motor cable length are available. They contain the power cables for the motor, the brake supply, and the MOVILINK® DDI data cable. For all motor types, SEW-EURODRIVE offers the MOVILINK® DDI digital data interface with plug connectors or direct connection via cable glands, with or without motor encoder.
