Cable length
A maximum motor cable length must not be exceeded when connecting a motor.
The following project planning guidelines must be observed:
- Irrespective of the PWM frequency, the maximum permitted length of the motor cables in the axis module is 100 m.
- The maximum permitted length of the motor cables in the axis module for direct control of the DC 24 V brake is 25 m.
- An increased combined cable length is permitted if only motor cables with low conductor/shield capacitance are used. Motor cables with low conductor/shield capacitance have the following characteristic values:
