Coating and surface protection systems
The gear units are available with surface protection OS 1, OS 2, OS 3, and OS 4.
The following descriptions provide an overview of the coating and surface protection systems.
OS 1 low environmental pollution | |

| Suitable for environments prone to condensation and atmospheres with low humidity or contamination, such as outdoor applications under roofing or with safeguards, or unheated buildings where condensation can build up. |

| Suitable for environments with permanent humidity and severe atmospheric or chemical contamination. Regular acidic and caustic wet cleaning, also with chemical cleaning agents. |

Observe the following information on surface protection:
- Standard top coat color RAL7031, can deviate depending on the order, see order documents.
- Colors according to RAL
- Water and hand perspiration repelling rust preventive applied to bare metal parts, shaft ends/flanges for external preservation.
- Sheet metal parts, such as protective covers, are painted in RAL 1003 as standard.
