Ambient conditions

The gear units are suitable for an ambient temperature range of -40 °C to +40 °C, but depending on the ambient temperature, modifications to the standard design may be necessary.

Contact SEW-EURODRIVE in case of low ambient temperatures, high humidity, and aggressive or explosive atmospheres.

Sealing, lubrication, ventilation, surface protection, and other properties of the gear unit can then be adjusted to the specific ambient conditions.
