Module bus
The module bus is used as a communication link between individual system components from SEW-EURODRIVE. Such system components can be, for example, inverters, power supply modules, and axis modules. Status and fault messages are exchanged between the system components using this communication connection. A certain fault response is triggered depending on the type of fault.
The device can be configured as a "Module bus master" or "Module bus slave". The module bus master is always in first position in the network. There may only be one module bus master in the network.
The module bus is configured using parameter group 8627 "Module bus".
The following devices in the Power and Energy Solutions product series can be integrated in a module bus network:
- MDP92A-..
- MDE90A-..
Note that the incorporation of these devices in the module bus is a prerequisite for fault-free operation.
