Inspections and tests before the test run

Check the following before starting the test run and take appropriate measures in the event of an error:

• Is there an emergency stop device so that you can switch off the drive quickly in the event of danger or a fault?
• Is everything wired and connected correctly?
• Are all nuts and bolts on the drive firmly tightened?
• For motors with an oil seal: Is the seal undamaged and the motor lubricated? Observe the startup instructions for your motor!

Starting up the function module

Check the following before the test run. In the event of an error, take appropriate measures.

• Check that the drive setpoints and the I/O signals from the higher-level controller are correctly configured.
• Check the cables between the higher-level controller and your drive, along with the polarity of the cables.
• Check all operating settings of your drive.
