Before startup

Make sure the following requirements are met before startup:

• The devices are undamaged and not blocked.
• You have correctly configured all components of the format-changing drive system.
• You have installed all components of the format-changing drive system correctly, both mechanically and electrically.
• The measures stipulated in chapter "Extended storage of motors" are performed after extended storage periods.
• All connections are installed correctly.
• The direction of rotation on the drive unit matches the application.
• All protective covers are installed correctly.
• Safety measures prevent accidental startup of the drive.
• The motor protection equipment is active and set for the rated motor current.
• In general, there must be no other sources of danger present.
• The surface of the drive unit must not be covered by heat-sensitive or insulating materials.
• Safety measures prevent danger to persons or machines.
