Mounting positions

The following diagram shows various mounting positions of the motor without a gear unit:

In the vertical mounting position IM V3, liquid that remains on the flange for a long period of time can penetrate the motor due to capillary action. Liquid can escape in the IM V1 mounting position. The standard mounting position of the motor is the IM B5 position in accordance with DIN 60034-7.
