The basic device already contains the STO safety sub-function with activation via safe inputs. Higher-level functional safety requirements can be added by inserting a CS.. safety option. Safety sub-functions of varying quality are implemented in 5 different variants.

Features:

  • SIL3 according to EN 61800-5-2, EN 61508
  • PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1
  • Internal connection to the motor encoder, the external encoder, safe communication, and the STO
  • Parameters of the safety option are included in the device data set
  • Easy to replace during servicing via pluggable safety key on the safety option
  • Parameterization and diagnostics using MOVISUITE® engineering software
  • Process data and safety data in the same Scope recording
  • Safe output for controlling functionally safe braking systems

The MOVISAFE® CS..A safety options provide further safety sub-functions according to EN IEC 61800-5-2 in addition to the STO function. The MOVISAFE® CS..A safety options and the CES11A multi-encoder card are intended to be used in the same slot and thus cannot be used simultaneously. For this reason, there are CS.31A safety options with an additional multi-encoder input.
