Drive train

Show drive train 2

Setting whether only drive train 1 or drive trains 1 and 2 are to be processed.

INFORMATION: Drive train 2 is only available with single-axis modules and can be used, for example, to implement emergency mode without encoder feedback. The user units and the speed window for the "Setpoint/actual speed comparison" signal must be set identical with those of drive train 1.

Up to version 9.X.X.200:

Functions used

Variable jerk time (1 PD)

  • Off
  • On
  • The jerk time can be specified with the additional function. The additional function extends the process data length by 1 process data word.
  • For further information, refer to chapter Variable jerk time via process data.

Up to version 9.X.X.200:

Index: 8347.6 Offset 0, bit 13

From version 10.X.X.200:

Index: 8463.3 Offset 0, bit 0

Parameter channel via process data (5 PD)

INFORMATION: The data is stored in volatile memory and is therefore not protected against power failure.

  • Off
  • On
  • The additional function can be used to read and write inverter parameters in a volatile manner. The additional function extends the process data length by 5 process data words.
  • For further information, refer to chapter Parameter channel via process data.

Variable torque limiting Q1 (2 PD)

  • Off
  • On
  • The additional function can be used to limit the torque variably. In fieldbus mode, the additional function extends the process data length by 2 process data words.
  • For further information, refer to chapter Variable torque limiting Q1.

Touchprobe 1 (4 PD)

INFORMATION: The configuration menu is only visible when the additional function is activated.

  • Off
  • On
  • The additional function can be used to read out the detected position and the trigger counter in the event of a trigger event. Together with application mode "420: Touchprobe positioning – absolute target position", it is possible to position to a position that is specified relative to the touchprobe position when a trigger event occurs. With the additional function, it is also possible to measure the length of bulk material (e.g. packages). The additional function extends the process data length by 4 process data words.
  • For further information, refer to chapter Touchprobe function.

From version 10.X.X.200:

Index: 8463.3, bit 0

Brake test (1 PD)

  • Off
  • On
  • The drive function FCB 21 Brake test can be used with the additional function. The additional function is activated via application mode "700: Brake test". The additional function extends the process data length by 1 process data word.
  • For further information, refer to chapter Brake test.

Torque limiting

Minimum torque limit

Limitation of the torque specified via the application

Index: 8347.6 Offset 2

Use torque limits from profile value connection

INFORMATION: Only available for devices with FW 9 or later.

  • Off – The torque limit is the value set in the [Monitoring functions] > [Limit values] configuration menu of the software module.
  • On – The torque limit is the value set in the [Functions] > [Setpoints] > [Profile value connection] configuration menu of the inverter.
