Optimization monitor

The optimization monitor is used for operating the software module in manual mode and for optimizing the control technology. The monitor can be activated via the configuration of the software module in MOVISUITE® in the "Basic settings" configuration menu under "Tools used". By activating, the optimization monitor is added to the IEC project via code generation and can then be found in the IEC project under the application with the following name: "OptMonitor_%Name%" ("%Name%" is replaced by the name assigned to the software node)

WARNING

Unexpected system behavior if the communication between PC and MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER is interrupted because the specified setpoints continue to take effect until the connection to the IEC Editor is interrupted automatically and the IEC Editor is logged off.
Death, severe injuries or damage to property
  • In control mode, make sure that the drive can be stopped at any time by means of emergency off measures.

Selection of control or monitor mode and activation of expert mode

  • Control (control mode) – Operate the software module independently of the application program or the control of a higher-level controller.
  • Monitor (monitor mode) – View current control/status information. There is no intervention in the application program or the control of the higher-level controller.
  • Expert mode – Show additional parameters for more detailed configuration or optimization.
