Speed cams
The "Speed cams" submenu is available in the "Monitoring functions" configuration menu.
The speed cams can be used to reduce the maximum speed at the ends of the aisles in energy-optimized XY positioning mode (1200) and mechanically optimized positioning mode (1210). Application examples for speed cams are as follows:
- Reduction of the maximum speed
- A reduction of the maximum speed at the ends of the storage aisles to 70% can reduce the buffer size because the maximum energy to be absorbed is reduced by 50%.
- Buffer travel
- In some automated warehouses, the first and last storage spaces are located in the buffer area. Usually, the buffers must not be approached at maximum speed. This means the maximum speed is reduced up to (negative direction of travel) / from (positive direction of travel) of the configured position.
Parameter group | Description |
---|---|
Speed cams | Number, position, and speed of the speed cams in negative direction of travel |
Speed cams | Number, position, and speed of the speed cams in positive direction of travel |
Direction-dependent | Activation or deactivation of the speed cams in both directions of travel When the function is activated, the cams always work. When the function is deactivated, the cams work only in the direction of the end of the aisle, not in the direction of the middle of the aisle. |
